Wouldn't do it either because of two reasons. Firstly I also see the potential of abuse and the amount of work required to prevent it.
Secondly, I know I might be naive and I'm surely idealistic believing that the reward of the guild leaders cannot be paid in stats or items. It's the respect paid by other players in and outside of the guild and well developed friendships within the guild.
Note that there are interesting studies done about the altering behaviour when a reward that used to be a social one (a "thank you", or even just a smile) to a monetary one. There's nothing good about that change. Since i feel that's off topic here, I won't go into details unless requested otherwise.
Let's hope our good guild leaders continue to do their hard work just because it actually provides them with fun in doing so. Thanks to all of you!
