I have yet to read every thread in this forum so I'll just state my opinions on this.
Because the aggressor has all the time in the world to plan the attack, the defender should have some better options than 24 hours notice to build a guild/faction army to defend. A few ideas.
*Longer notice
*Factor the amount of guards depending on time between declare/attack
*Increase difficulty of guards
