i too recently got a slap in the face with just how much work something like an NPC takes, and there are people working on new content of all types, but it's slow going as we're each working on our own types of projects. some of what we do can be shared to help "jump-start" someone on the path, but it will still require much tweaking and work. just the fact that i've bit.... complained about things in the past and now have a better understaind of the interworkings should be a huge note to just how much work even simple things take. but don't worrk, some of the people working on things will never give up, it's not our style to, and so sooner or later we'll have finished projects for "the big boss" to look over and make final decision of if a project goes live or not for the atys server to enjoy.
also virg is very serious about helping get you started, and at some point i will be right there with him helping anyone get a start. (but that's going to be a while for me, i'm still a noob when it comes to the current ark.) one of ulukyn's projects i believe is to make the ark more user friendly and simpler to use, should that day come, it would be nice to see more users making their ideas come true.... the one's i can't work on personally are in my signature, the one's not yet posted are waiting until i've done the bulk of the work for those before i open the "polls" on what everyone thinks.
