I try to follow conversations in French by using Goo-trad. The web-based version has some differences from the inline version.
What I find is that this forum seems to drop the apostrophes, as in "d'accord." This makes the Goo-trad engine go crazy. Goo-trad also does not correct typographical errors, such as "d'accors" in the previous post.
I have seen some of my own work translated by Goo-trad. It isn't pretty. One thing that helps is writing simple sentences. Another thing that helps is checking carefully for typographical errors. If everyone does those few simple things, the translation module will have a much easier job.
