I just want to say that I have to agree with Neela on this one. +1 Neela. Virg, it's hard to try to police players on the reasons why they might do a declare. For the fun of an OP battle, for vengeance over being attacked multiple times, for the mats that OP produces, etc.
I appreciate actions of individuals or whole guilds who try to balance out the pvp wars by shifting sides, forming alliances, etc. Those are all laudable actions within the confines of available gameplay. But if the declare button is there, I don't see how we can try to limit the reasons a player might have to push it.
And to be entirely honest with you I've been on the receiving end of this before the merge. Being in a kami guild that attacked a kara OP, lost, then having Kara retaliate and take a few OPs in kami lands, including a 250 one. As far as I was concerned, it was all in good fun and a part of pvp and OP gameplay.
Just to be clear, I'm not condoning punishment declares, just saying I dont think we can enforce this.
