Talk, you would think that after this many years that the "answer" of the dev / event / whatever team would be crystal clear: We aren't going to get it. No point in further spam .
Just one thing - if the answer is a final, unchangeable, resounding "no", make it clear by stating that. Boom, problem solved, whenever people bring up the subject you can just point them to the moment the idea was officially rejected.
Until then, part of the frustration is that there's NO feedback on ideas.
