Elvanae, that's a reasonable request.
PvP points were set up to encourage flagged inter-faction and inter-nation combat. My opinion is that setting up "physical" rewards like armor (and whatever else you can buy with them) was a bad idea, and that they should have been set up with a leaderboard strictly for boasting rights. That still wouldn't get rid of farming, of course, but it would quickly become obvious who was farming, and who was doing "real" PvP and people would adjust their opinion of the leaderboards accordingly. Adding additional farming opportunities in terms of OP battles and non-consensual (*) "active area" PvP would be just that: adding additional farming opportunities.
OP battles already have their reward in the collection of OP mats; they don't need more.
That's why.
(*) Yes, it's non-consensual. Just because I have to run through Nexus to get to eastern Wastelands doesn't mean I consent to PvP, it simply means I've got an extra risk in addition to all the cuttlers and torbaks.
Winning an OP gives you the OP mat reward. Not winning gives you nothing.
I don't think that anyone should aruge that just because they have chosen not to PvP, meaning they do not have access to the rewards, then those PvPers should not have said rewards.
Just like with regards to normal PvE activities, if you are not a digger, you wont be able to get your own mats or if your not a crafter, you wont be able to craft your own items, then its fair to say if your not a PvPer, you should not be able to get PvP items.
The matter of fact is that the devs saw a reason as to why PvPers should have these items. What I am saying in my post and what I want to discuss is, that everyone should get PvP points from OP battles in order to open up the ability to get those PvP items to a lot more people including F2Ps.
