Don't derail the topic, please. Changing faction is a painful process for the individual and tenfold more painful for a guild. The likeness of any kami guild going karavan in the near future is ridiculously low.
Back to topic .. I'll repeat what I said in the previous topic that suggested having to constantly defend your OP against npcs: forced fun is not fun. Scheduling fights with npcs is not fun. Besides, as already noted, it would only mean OPs would change hands within the bigger faction.
However --and sorry if this is derailing-- we could make OPs a bit like supernodes maybe? Once per week, the land around the outpost becomes a pvp region. Mats will have to be dug, depending on some super hard to get weather, and until then it's a GvG zone. Of course different outposts would have different schedules, giving the willing homin something to do all week long, and finally giving a chance to the sneaky neutral to maybe score low-q mats. Drills can be fixed, tree-bore in kami lands and trepan in kara lands.
