What i disagree in the post of Exodus is the way he describe PvP and roleplay.
Calling Arispotle a "disease" is a real insult imho.
Most players there before merge, where all oldlies that started much before the Temple War and enjoyed the real thrill of atys: kitins.
But I remember a lot of OP battles in Arispotle, most of them pretty fun, done with very high numbers from both sides.
Same people that fought hard at Outposts, teamed at the same time together to fight the environment (well, with some exceptions. There were lot of dramas even in the peaceful Arispotle :) ).
So, what's the point, other than insulting Arispotle players? You can't force a specific way to play, to RP, or to PvP. This is the freedom of a sandbox.
What would you think would happens in real life, if one group was really annoying 2 other different groups?
Reality is that this is the result of your politics and your behaviour in game. That's full RP and you can only blame yourself if your actions turned your enemies to ally to fight you.
Anyway, if I want to be an hominist and I don't want to kill homins, yourself included, you cannot deprive me, or any other people, the goal to get some of the best stuff.
Personally i don't think the best stuff is needed in PvE at all. After the merge i never tried to regain any of the best stuff owned before the merge.
But why I could not wear a gold NPC armor (that's absolutely not a pvp stuff) if I don't do PvP? Reason? I love gold.
You are too restricted in your RP definition. This reminds me of all the people around the world that consider "sandbox" only games with ffa pvp and full loot. They are, of course, wrong: you can do what you want, with the sand in the box.
PS: You were afraid of this turning in a flame war. I think most of the answers here are reasonable good answers to your insult.
