There was a similar report a week or two ago, also involving Windoz 7 Enterprise. (But I can't seem to find it...)
I am not a dev, but it occurs to me that an Enterprise machine might be more aggressive about attempting to share running programs across multiple cores, something that will probably crash Ryzom, an old and stodgy game. My first trial would be to see if I could attach Ryzom to CPU 0 (or 1, depending on how you count).
Your machine looks more than capable, in fact ... overkill.
