Beepe you are right but with these events, Silan not cease to be the interactive tutorial that is. Anyway, the events eventually will be another type of lessons. Both the need of teamwork as the need of some skills, leads to some kind of help in the decision of choice in the future.
But I personally, or others who have fixed characters on Silan, we are certainly not boring. We have characters on the Mainland or we can always create another.
Talkirc, this idea of yubos is another interesting idea. :)
I fully agree with Mjollren. So this topic was that idea. Silan is just a tutorial but novice players will not go soon to ML and many who want to go eventualy, not have the right idea of what awaits them. And the event will always be a great lure to captivate and encourage beginners.
Any newbie that I find on Silan, I try to help to fulfill the missions they learn and evolve rapidly, giving the need of a teamwork, between fighting and healing magic, or crafting and harvesting, etc. Usually I give a few words to explain what to expect, but it's never enough. My character has no Guild and I remain impartial in that. I explain that when they get to the mainland will have all the necessary help and encourage them to seek that help at a Guild such it will be them family. But many are demoralized or too short of what really awaits them.
As for the idea Naema and developed by others here, regarding the range. This I find to be a strong subject for another topic. I would enjoy indeed see that also at Silan, but this would require some changes, including new missions in Fighting Missions, from Guilan Guiter, Crafting Missions, from Sterga Hamla and the Tool Merchant with Be'Tooly.
