The new quality ordering allows, normally, to craft from 50-99 with q50 tools and so on. But since one of the latest
patches, there is a nasty bug, stemming from a twisted order of evaluation, as it seems to me.
The phenomenon is the following: Assumed I have a q200 weapon tool, and want to craft q150 amps for a friend. I am taking the mats, some q150, some better, starting crafting, and receive an error message that my crafting tool is not high enough for this build. WTF?
The reason is that my plan is indeed not downgraded to q150 - why the damn should it. But the order of evaluation of crafting conditions seems to have changed: first of all the relationship plan-tool is checked, then the process aborts.
Please correct, this is crap.
