There's lots to do - magic, melee, foraging and crafting - it will all come back to you once you get into it. The Gingos and Ragus still bite, digging still kills you with green gas, Javings still disarm you.
Since the Second Great Swarming (OOC: server merge last year) most dig spots have moved (dig spots in Prime Roots were restored to original sites after protests). Also because we are now all on the same server you will find French, German (and many other nationalities) players running around Atys.
You will find lots of help in-game - just ask in Universe chat or Region channel. I will help if I can.
