I have experienced stuttering in sound but usually in other sounds that I am downloading. The problem appears to be one of competition for downloading resources. However, that wouldn't apply to a pure client situation since there shouldn't be competition.
However, if the downloaded triggers for the animation and sound generation from the client files are interfering with the execution of the client itself, you might get something like that. It would still be a bug, but at least one that might be explainable.
