That mission is indeed tricky, or shall I say buggy. You have to craft all items first (degraded items don't count), then sell 1 by 1, and even then it sometimes won't complete. One of the ways to complete is just to craft again 5 pairs.

I'm not sure if you asked about this in the Universe channel, but note you will most usually get an answer there regarding game questions :)
