I doubt any of this will happen because it will make many things easier for players
the devs don't usually add anything that helps us :P
now if you want plants to shoot at an aggro.... then the a herbie or an aggro, and it runs over and sees you and decides to eat YOU instead of the plant.... (thus the plant is defending itself by feeding you to the mobs instead)
I can see THAT happening because it will make it harder for us and piss us off
