It is still imho a great idea.. as one coordinating things across all the timezones, it would be very useful for me to not have to use a) my guessing to be sure i have the time accurate or b) some external resource to determine what day it is.
Yes we CAN figure it out in our heads, the fact it's built into game is just immensely useful, in fact, a seperate enhancement would be to allow a param of local time and it converts automatically to UTC and shows the day too.
Computing machines after all are amazing at figuring these simple things out - and I'm pretty sure the programmers were forward thinking to use OS level calls to work this all out - which means adding to the command takes not a lot of effort and solves so many issues working across so many disparate time zones.
