Assume that you have 2K subscribers: then at $11/sub we have $22,000 per month. Now compare that to $5,000 and the $5K looks a lot more significant.
Subs in Euros are EU 8/month. I don't know the relative buying power of the Euro, but I don't think it's any better than the USD and it might well be worse.
The numbers aren't available, but I'm willing to bet that 2K is far closer to the actual number of subscribers than 10K. I'm completely certain that there aren't anywhere close to 100K subscriptions.
