That check already exists... you can see it if you hit the craft button too fast and your inv runs out of mats. The message is something like 'you don't have the materials required to make this item'.
I think it would be nice to be able to craft from GH. If you don't want to, you can still pick up the materials and craft from your own inventory (materials in craft window are sorted by which bag they are in).
