I made a tar macro for my sources for one reason. To dig an extra node from time to time. The time saved vs. clicking on the next node is small, but it is finite and can add up. If the nodes work just right I could hit 8 out of ten spawned spots. I can't do this any more because I don't have the sap boosted armor and jewels that made that possible. This made grinding mats easy while leveling ecosystem digs.
It wouldn't help a bot because the process involved using two actions to deliberately kill the node before focus ran out, and that would not be possible in a bot because some of the alternate actions will kill you for certain modes.
