A week or so ago the Ryzom client suddenly started taking 20-30 seconds to start up instead of the usual 3 seconds.
By this I mean that I click on an icon to start it, the UAC (Win 7) asks if I want to run the program, and then the computer sits there for some time before displaying the splash screen and the login page. Once I have logged in, the rest of the loading takes place at normal speed.
The really strange thing is that there doesn't seem to be any activity by the Ryzom client during this process (as evaluated by looking at the System Monitor.
Has anyone else seen this? Have an explanation?
