I know that Ryzom doesn't suit having any form of cash shop ingame due to various reasons which i won't go into .
However , this doesn't mean they should rule out an Account Option shop via a Web Interface .
Options could be things along the lines of :-
Under Payed Accounts ( Ideas ) :-
Extra Packer Slots , maybe for 10 Euros they could add an extra packer to an account upto a max of 5 ( so 2 extra ) .
Generic Mats Bundles for those who have some money spare and want ot level crafting faster
Tool Packages for those not wanting to spend ingame money , maybe even make the tools of much lower bulk ( like generic mats )
Trial Accounts Ideas :-
Apartment Slot :- Allow the account to upgrade for an apartment usage .
Now , i say apartment , rather than packers , becase the Trial would still be limited out in the field and at dig spots in how much they and their mount can carry , so paying players till retain the advantage of packers .
Generic Mats Bundles ( as payed accounts )
Other ideas could be thrown up there that wouldn't break the game itself , but still provide a little extra revenue for Ryzom .
I don't think that Trial accounts should be able to buy level progression unlocks , as i think that cap should remain hard and fast and locked , and should only be unlocked if your paying a subscription .
Could even add a lower tier subscription :-
For 5 Euros ( an idea of a figure ) you could get skills unlocked to 200 and 1 packer slot , but shouldn't get the XP boost or apartment that the full subscription account does .
As it isn't full price , you don't get full access to the game , but you do get some goodies and allows those on a lower income to get a little further at a more affordable price for them .
Basically a form of Premium subscription , with the current full subscription being VIP level.
This would also allow those who are on the Trial version and who aren't able to justify ( for whatever reason ) paying out a full subcription price per month the ability to support the game in their own way financially.
