YOUR CREATIONS & GUIDES

#1 [en]

Hi all,

Kipeecraft has been a staple in my, and many others, crafting dreams ever since Arcuied released it.
Faithfully it churned out recipe after recipe, but a lot has changed since the last version.
With the refactoring of the bosses around atys a lot of new supreme materials are there for the taking, in addition old and new generic raw materials have shown up.
It was time for a new database. And also fix the 4 postcraft calculations (Durability fix: medium buckler/shield, high buckler/shield)

The new databases have been done from the ground up with all the materials found in the v970 update.
- 2 separate databases, Ryzom and RyzomWithInactive (Big changes, read post #8)
- From 4988 to 6111 total Entries in the Ryzom database (active materials only)
- From 4988 to 7282 total Entries in the RyzomWithInactive database (all materials in the game files, including inactive)
(this means turning off, evolver > advanced options > used ignored materials, is much more useful than before)
- How to switch databases, put materials on ignore and how to set 'use ignored materials' in evolver explained here.
- New supreme materials.
- New generic materials.
- Redone all the level ranges. (MinQ/MaxQ)
- Set all ignored materials manually.
- Included all materials that are in game but not live in a separate database 'RyzomWithInactive', in case they become active in the future.
- Fixed postcraft Durability calculation for medium buckler and shield, high buckler and shield

It is possible that you will find Errors in older recipes, just replace the missing parts with the same or similar materials.
You can also open your saved recipe in notepad (any text editor) to see your recipe item list and compare or swap materials accordingly.

- Generic materials and maybe some others, will have a question mark as icon, I cannot fix this.
- The program 'kipeecraft' itself has not changed, only the database containing all materials. The 'about' page on kipeecraft will display the date of the programs release not that of the database update.

Wow, this is quite a lot of work @magez. Thanks for the dedication!

Hi all,

Small update, MinQ and MaxQ in evolver was ignoring harvest materials with a minimum quality of 0 (0-250).
Also poor Armketh(120) was missing her MinQ and MaxQ values and was being ignored.
Links below and on the first post have been updated.

Poor Armketh, look at how sad she is...

There are 2 missing creatures reported so far:
- Kinkin (q170 forest Kinrey)
- Ora (q60 Forest Yubo) <-- how did I miss this one...

They will be included in a later update, I am currently waiting for the next boss rotation in case there will be more reports.

There was a lack of documented creature locations for basic and fine creatures. Existing Titles, Named and Bosses from before the refactoring were easy to get from sites such as Ballistic Mystic and wiki. But no one seems to have kept track of the lesser creatures, at least not in an easy format for me to access.

BM has inaccurate or incomplete information, for example it says there are no kipesta in knoll of dissent when using the map search.
So I went around every zone, writing down names of creatures I saw on paper and included them in the possible boss spawn list.

The reason Kinkin was missing is because I didn't see any kinrey in the forest (Knoll of Dissent) at that time. I still haven't, are they deeper in the lair? Either way I confirmed Kinkin spawned myself.

Some bosses also spawn with uncertain rules. For example Ginketh in Frahar Tower, there are no wild gingo in Frahar Tower, only the baying (blue level) gingo that spawn with the frahar.

So, there might be more I missed. I am sorry :P

Please report any creature I missed.
Thanks!

p.s.
Thanks for the praise Duxe, Lyren :)

In this post I explain:
- How to select a different database.
- How browse materials and put individual materials on ignore.
- How turn on or off 'use ignored materials' in the evolver.

How to select a different database.
Image, the KipeeCraft DB folder: (../KipeeCraft 1.2a/DB)

Inside your KipeeCraft folder (../KipeeCraft 1.2a) there is a folder named 'DB' (../KipeeCraft 1.2a/DB). This folder contains the databases with the materials in a separate folder. Each separate folder with the files inside can be used as their own unique database, so you can copy, paste and rename a folder if you want to make a new database with changes of your own, like putting certain materials on ignore in one database without effecting the other databases.
As an example I have a database named Ryzom-Bosses-I-Can-Kill, I put bosses to strong for me to kill on ignore in that database so evolver doesn't use those in my new recipes.

Image, how to change databases inside KipeeCraft:

With KipeeCraft you can switch to another database very easily. Go to the toolbar at the very top of the KipeeCraft window and click on 'database'(1), a menu will appear and then click on 'select'(1). A new window(2) will show up with a list of all the databases that KipeeCraft has found in the DB folder (../KipeeCraft 1.2a/DB). Double click on the desired database(2) to make that the active database from now on, even if you close and reopen KipeeCraft. You can see which database is active by looking at the title bar of the KipeeCraft window, the end of the title will say 'name of database used'.

How browse materials and put individual materials on ignore.
Image, how to browse the materials in the current database:

With KipeeCraft you can view and edit all the materials in the current database. Go to the toolbar at the very top of the KipeeCraft window and click on 'database'(1), a menu will appear and then click on 'browse'(1).

Image, how to edit materials in the current database:

A new window will show up with all the materials in the current category, if it's your first time opening this window, the category 'ammo bullet' will be selected in the dropdown menu in the bottom left. The materials you see now are all materials that have stats for the ammo bullet category. use the dropdown menu in the bottom left corner to change to other categories. Ignored materials will be highlighted in red, in the example image there are 2 materials on ignore. If you want to put 'Basic Bodoc Horn' on ignore you have to double click(2) the square with the 0 at the end of the line to turn it into a 1, which will also highlight it red. This material is now on ignore. You can edit any square and type new values if you want, be warned this will not change the actual materials in the game unless the database entry was wrong in the first place and you want to correct it. Closing the browsing window will save your changes.

How turn on or off 'use ignored materials' in the evolver.
Image, how to open the evolver:

The most useful and powerful tool of KipeeCraft is the 'evolver', this lets the program find the best combination of materials for the results that you want. Go to the toolbar at the very top of the KipeeCraft window and click on 'tools'(1), a menu will appear and then click on 'evolver'(1).

Image, how to turn on or off 'use ignored materials':

Click on 'Advanced options'(2) in the control panel section of the evolver. Here you can turn on or off the ability for the evolver to use materials that are on ignore. Click the checkbox next to 'use ignored materials'(3) and then close the options by clicking 'Advanced options'(2) again.

Hope this helped :)

Hi all,

Back with a, hopefully last, update (Kc20250706). There have been some significant changes to the database, please read below what it does.

Big changes this update:
Originally there was only 1 database 'Ryzom', from now on a 2nd database named 'RyzomWithInactive' is included.
- The database named 'Ryzom' has all materials that are active in the game.
- The database named 'RyzomWithInactive' has all materials, including those not active in game.
**'Not active in game' means creatures and bosses that never spawn or were from unfinished parts of the game.**

Why separate the materials?
- Reason for this change is that this makes making your own ignore list much easier, so that when you turn on or off 'use ignored materials' in evolver you don't automatically include a bunch of materials that don't exist, but only those that you yourself told the program to ignore.
- Corrupted materials are still included in both databases on ignore. Some of which might not be active either, but they are so rare I cannot check which are and which are not.
**Be warned, saved recipes that had materials from not active creatures will break and kipeecraft will give you a warning in sysinfo. Switch database to use those recipes anyway.**
- In a post here I explain how to change your active database and how to put materials on ignore.
- If you don't want this change, remove the DB 'ryzom' and change the name 'RyzomWithInactive' to 'Ryzom'

Smaller change:
- Changed Excellent and Supreme Generic Materials to start ignored. They are still in the databases but you will need to turn on 'use ignored materials' in evolver to include them in finding a recipe.
-- In a post below I explain how to put materials on ignore and how to turn on or off 'use ignored materials' in evolver.
