Patch 882 2021-09-28

PATCH DAY!!! ATYS WILL BE CLOSED THE ENTIRE DAY!

A client, data and server patch and a restart of the game server will be performed on Tuesday September 28th 2021 in order to implement the following changes, additions and fixes:

Ryzom database

- The database of Ryzom will be moved to another server. This operation will take some time, thus the patch will have an unusually long duration (potentially taking all day).

Kitin's Lair occupations

- The 4 occupations which gives missives to be executed the Kitin's Lair (Larvester, Medic, Butcher and Scrollmaker) are moved into the Kitin's Lair.
- Addition of icons on the map to display locations of occupation NPCs.

Marauder mini-camps

- Addition of 3 Marauder mini-camps to complete the series of 4 scheduled. There will now be one mini-camp in each nation.
- In regions having a mini-camp, the Zinuakeen will be moved into the camp.
- All the mini-camps get stables and a mission giver.
- Addition of icons on the map to display the location of the mini-camps.

Boss refactoring

- Boss refactoring entering the second phase: The new boss system is implemented to Primes Roots, and Nexus gets a more normal respawn time for bosses.
The next step will be the generalization of the new system to all of Atys.

Here are some news: the database has been migrated as planned, which was to allow us to update the web server with less impact on the game.
But during the maintenance reboot of this web server, OVH alerted us of a critical flaw on the RAID disks and that an intervention was to be expected.

Not wanting this intervention, which could only be done tomorrow and would have taken at minimum 2 days, to block the game even more, we decided to rent a new server and to move the data there.

This is now done but there are still many checks to be done before reopening the game server.
That's why Atys will only be reopened tonight or tomorrow morning (European time zone).

The Webig seems to be pretty much working. We checked the teleportation for Rangers and Marauders and it works.
The Wheel of Fortune has a problem, it only gives XL tokens as a reward (for a basic token bet). But this is not a block to reopening Aty as we can activate it later.
The Storyline missions and the daily missions have not been tested yet.
The Ryzom API backup is corrupted but this is not very important since it is just a cache and can be regenerated.
We should be able to open Atys on Wednesday (today), then fix the last problems one by one.

Latest news: We are preparing the patch and hope to reopen Atys in less than two hours.
Some features will be broken, we will publish their list and fix them one by one.

Le nouveau système de rois sera activé dans quelques heures. Pour le moment, il n'y a donc pas de roi dans Nexus ni dans les Prime Racines.

The new boss sytem is activated in Nexus and Prime Roots!

The new boss sytem does not work very well with the new server version, so we set it offline until it's fixed.

The Steam client patch should be released in the next hours!
