Nice of you to summarize the histoy for us.   Brought back many memories of nights when wife was headed for sleepytime and asked "what are you doing ? " and I'd answer "math" ... and she'd respond, "Well could you turn it down a bit ?  I never heard of math that involved roaring noises ?""

To my recollection it's -5 and +15 range for spear, but that's a good example why even 0% and 100% can't be relied upon.

Ryzom API gives exact stat value you can use in your research.

API outputs xml, so you do not need any special software to read it as it's all text.

To figure out which item is which, you can use custom text on item and search for it in xml.

the craft preview window is pretty much solved and described in my article. The discussion is mostly about the stats of the final crafted item in relation to the values shown in the preview.
