When you crystalize a spell or charge the sap load of a weapon with the Sap Recharge actions, it costs dappers, but the game doesn't make this very clear. It would be much clearer if the game just showed a prompt saying how many dappers were lost and why. Could be added to the existing messages about crystalization and recharge, or could be a separate message. Either way, I think this would be a good idea because it's very easy to overlook the cost as it currently stands (which may leave you confused when you look at your dappers and see they're lower than before).

Noway! You don't have to do it! It's one of those little fun little things that make the game more fun.
I remember once upon of time i leveled 1 of afflictions. And i was just recharging enchants via dappers. I remember i was indecently poor (tho as well as now, but anyway) and for some time i was puzzled why i was not getting rich. It took me about ~10m dappers or so to master it. Or it was ~15m... i do not remember exactly. But it was relatively not a little anyway.
Nowadays, ofc, i, like the all decent people, buy charges from some very shady and suspicious tryker in FH for national points. And i didn't get richer. But there is something to remember!

Added a bit later: What if to make a blinking light bulb out of the dapper icon in the inventory? It will blink when dappers get increasing or decreasing. Tho i do not know if it is possible to do such things with the interface elements...

wasn't there some strange lore tidbit saying that dappers were a type of sap or something like that? And that's why manual recharges cost money?

Originally the action was not to recharge the weapon with sap but to create sap crystals.
Since crystals are a solid object, it was logical that a solid source material was needed and dappers were the perfect choice.

But this is no longer the case, now the action simply recharges the weapon which is a purely magical process with no solid base.

btw, why the ability to create stocks of crystals was removed and replaced with direct charging of the "gun"?
Let's put everything back the way it was. Lore should be followed. Since it says that dapper is dried sap - then it's dried sap.

I guess it was removed because sap crystal is now a reward for occupation and pvp points and without that many players wouldn't care about occupation.

I'd still care. Because i appreciate the value of an honest day's work. haha just kidding. I wouldn't water carry if there were no crystals in it for me.
