Danke!

Hier ist die finale Version 1:

Danke an Siela für die einfache Mac-Lösung!
Danke an Moniq für die Inspiration zum Windows Skript!

Question: Does it work on Ryzom installations that are NOT made by the Installer?

Question: Does it work on Ryzom installations that are NOT made by the Installer?

Good Question!

Answer: Yes it does, but you need to change the path to you profile folder at DST in the script. Default it is the normal path as in the wiki documented: https://en.wiki.ryzom.com/wiki/Ryzom_location

I guess in Steam there are the profiles in the same folder as the client is. In this case, it would backup the client data also. Maybe i should add some EXCLUDE variables for this situation.

I really missed that point. Only Windows have profile and client folder, the others are default in the same folder.
Need to add this EXCLUDE variable for Steam, Mac and Linux. On my installation on Linux I chose a different folder for the client data. Schame on me :-D

Thank you. Very clear and useful for most Ryzom users.

Not useful in my case because I don't have a "profile folder". I have a separate installation of Ryzom for each account.

On the other hand that means that I really don't need to worry about it since copying the Save folder and the client.cfg file is easy.

So as I understood, you something like this for every account or?
.

│   └── user
├── cfg
├── data
│   └── fonts
├── examples
└── unpack

No, like this: Very primitive, but it works

\ryzom_xxx
|-- cache
|-- cfg
|-- data
.......| fonts
|-- examples
|-- save
|-- screenshots
|-- unpack
|-- user

@Bitttymacod Ich updated the script so that it would work for you also. Just add the paths to the ryzom installations with a space between under SRC. It will now ignore all client files and folders by default.

Could you test it please? Thanks

If ya find these options troublesome.....

a) For Windows users... zyroom does this for you while providing other useful functions

b) Just make a zip file of the save folder
