Hmm, this forum do say "IDEAS FOR RYZOM", not "PULL REQUESTS FOR RYZOM" , so I dont this is appropriate way to welcome an idea for Ryzom. Besides, OP has put effort to visualize the idea too.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

To me it sounds like "I want this. Do it."

Still, everyone, consider getting more involved in teams and the whole project. You can help in many ways needed. There is a Game Design Team forming. Or testing team is still recruiting.

Think about it this way. Every change, no matter how small is, requires a lot of sources given by many teams. Every change must be prepared, validated, coded (which might require additional changes). Every new and affected string must be (re)written, validated and translated. And everything together must be tested on every platform and language combination, not once or twice. And after this a series of patches/documentation must be prepared and all must be distributed. Not talking about all the work on background that even allows this all.

Do you like the game that much?

Hmm, paying to play and after work I got like 0 motivation to start any project that had so much documentation only in one language that I dont happen to speak.

Seems like I dont like the game that much then.

I didn't have to work with non-english docs only yet. Yes, might probably happen in some cases. Lack of translators is another problem.

Good idea Plaminek, another way around this issue would be to make flags available depending on region, so e.g if you were in savage dunes, you don't want to see flags of Pyr or w.e.

@Moniq, there's no need to be so spiteful, this is, after all the "IDEAS FOR RYZOM" forum, naturally people will post things they want to see in game, and you are way off topic.

@Plaminek: thank you for your proposal. It has all its place in this "Ideas for Ryzom" forum.

Yes Tam, I love to see new ideas, and welcome any and all ... I may support if I think it's useful and good for game. I may offer an opinion on why it might be useful but not good for game as at some point I think "spoon feeding" should cease.

But I am disappointed that diminutive responses occur as often as they do. I try to write them off as an error in interpretation due to language differences and lack of being able to interpret facial and body language.

I hope that this does not discourage anyone from posting their ideas, and apologize if anything I have ever commented on was taken in a way other than intended.
