Nouvelles options de paiement à venir - NOUVELLES OFFICIELLES

Chers joueurs,

Suite à la fermeture de PaySpan, il n'est momentanément plus possible de s'abonner à Ryzom sans carte bancaire.

Afin de pallier à cet important problème, l'Équipe de Développement travaille à mettre à jour le système de paiement de Ryzom afin d'y ajouter l'option de paiement PayPal.

De plus, la prochaine arrivée de Ryzom sur Steam permettra aux joueurs de choisir parmi d'autres options de paiement. En effet, l'abonnement à Ryzom via Steam se fera directement sur la plateforme Steam et non pas sur le site de Ryzom. De ce fait, toute option de paiement acceptée par Steam sera valide : Cartes bancaires/débit (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, JCB), PayPal, Visa Electron, PaySafeCard, Sofortüberweisung / DIRECTebanking.com, iDeal, WebMoney.

wonderful, i hope it's before my current sub's run out, a gift was sent to my paypal so that i could keep both myself and my wife's accounts subbed a couple more months. so please let me know when it's ready, or if i can help test things.

Après 11 ans sur l'écorce, je suis dans la même galère depuis des mois sans Ryzom. Subitement ma carte bancaire (qui fonctionne partout ailleurs) ne passe plus au niveau de l'organisme de paiement.... bizarre... après plusieurs échanges avec le service client de Ryzom rien n'a pu être fait pour corriger le problème. Donc j'attends .... dépechez vous je crois qu'il y a des gens qui veulent payer, c bête !

what boggles my mind is the amount of time it's taking to set up a paypal. i've used paypal for 15 years, and it only took me about 30 minutes to set one up, and 2 days to verify. not sure what the hold-up could be, but it sure does seam like bad business to not want people to pay you money for something.

I know that would be my number one priority to get my cash flow back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. who ever thought a company would ever NOT want to make money?

how about we get some facts as to what the hold up is, so we the players can complain to the source of the hold up on behalf of ryzom and WG. if paypal's slowing things down i think they'd get their act together when they start getting e-mails from all the users that want to play, they'll fix it faster.

i love ryzom, but the fact is that if they don't get on the page where the PAYING player's needs should be met, the game's doomed to die, because let's face it, when you take this long to give the customer a way to pay you for something, your sure as hell not going to make any money and it might cost you their business if you take too long to fix something.

i'm sorry that i feel the need to be so harsh, but let's face it my words are felt by many, but only i have the nerve (as an american) to speak my mind openly.

You mean you installed Paypal widgets on a website of yours, and setting everything up (including security, etc) took only 30 minutes?

Creating a simple user account on their website is obviously straightforward, but that's not the hold-up here.

Presumably what's taking time is integrating the payment subsystem in the existing payment profile page. I'm not a web developer, but I'm aware that can take a lot of time :)

Especially considering that they're not only adding Paypal, but creating a system that will allow other payment options to be plugged in more easily....

I don't think it can be that complicated if so many million games in the world use it. They could at least implement Paypal while they are working on the other payment methods.

L'option de paiement Paypal n'est pas encore accessible via la page de compte https://secure.ryzom.com/payment_profile/, son ajout devrait être effectif début septembre.

Cependant, afin de ne pas pénaliser plus longtemps les joueurs ne pouvant plus s'abonner ou prolonger leur abonnement, nous venons de mettre en place une application provisoire qui permet d'acheter un ou plusieurs mois (1, 3, 12) de jeu via Paypal : http://app.ryzom.com/app_paypal/
Aucune donnée sensible ne transite par cette application, la transaction est entièrement prise en charge par Paypal qui nous informe uniquement de son bon déroulement.

A noter que, en raison des frais engendrés par Paypal, le prix du mois de jeu via cette option est plus élevé que via PaySpan :
1 mois : €8.95 /mois
3 mois : €8.50 /mois
1 an: €7.50 /mois

De plus, afin de répondre à une demande récurrente de la communauté de joueurs, nous en avons profité pour ajouter la possibilité de faire un don pour Ryzom via Paypal.
