Some people (myself) have many map flags close together in some areas, as shown here:

This is a problem if I want to set my compass target to one of them, or even just check what one says. In the screenshot provided, the map is zoomed in as far as it will go. Several of these flags are unclickable because another is in the way. I suggest we be able to zoom in further on the map to assist in clicking such flags.

Setting compass target shouldn't be a problem.

Right-click on the compass and all flags will show up in a long list - this list will be very long though seeing how many flags you've got.

Another thing is that if I remember right: the window size has influence on the max zoom (been too long since I had a chance to log in :( )

Unless ofc you haven't named the flags correctly

What I've started to do is to just use one flag for a larger deposit. Most if not all up-to-choice mats on continents come in clusters. This also saves flags, as their number is limited.

In the Thesos example above, I just put one placemark named "Anete | Koorin | Enola | Perfling | Splinter" in the rough area where they are, and go from there. Same for the deposit in Thesos Falls Tor or the ones near South Range, etc. After a while you start caring less where exactly the mats are, and just adjust your mat spec and prospection range to pop.

What do you consider correct naming, Magisty?

well.... a note for everyone about flags, they're saved on the client side, and don't go with the account if you use another computer, so.... why is there a limit to how many flags we can have? (makes me think there's a way to edit that option out, becasue it's client side; which could be considered an exploit if someone was to do that)

or maybe it's something like my cookie (see quote)

Is there a limit still? I haven't found it yet, if so. And you *can* use one character's flags on another. But yes, it isn't automatic so it won't take bandwidth for WG.

to the best of my knowledge there is still a limit, but i've never been told i can't make another marker, so it must be a very high limit or i just don't flag as much as some players do, if i ever hit the limit you'll know, because i'll be posting a flat out request as to why since it's saved on my computer and doesn't cost WG for storage of that data, i should not have a limit as to what i can store on MY computer.

marker have a hard* limit 256 per map (ie all tryker regions together). it's a very small number.

* markers over the limit are removed from icfg on loading stage.

I would like to be able to zoom in closer, and it doesn't bother me that it will look blurred or pixelated. x2 or x4 would be ideal. It shouldn't be much of a programming task either.

max scale of map is set from map.xml file. currently its 2x the size of map image. You can change the value there or change the size of map image.

Why dont we have the flags activate once you are in that area.
this will make the list shorter and easier to find you flags~

"map.xml"??????
I've checked the directories and there is no file by that name in my install. (Win7-64, 32-bit programs)

I don't see one on my Linux install, either.

I'm not sure what you mean by "activate". I agree it would be helpful for flags outside your area (Maiden Grove, not Witherings) to be missing from the compass right-click menu until you enter that area. However, it's helpful to be able to see flags from outside that area (and outside
