This is very helpful. I'm a little confused. Are all these different things included in Bunny Tools or are they all different apps?

Nehrie

They were developed as individual tools initially some 10-11 years ago. The mats tools fro armor crafting was one of the first as that was my 1st craft tree. The others were developed when I took up a new craft or was asked for something by a fellow player or when I found soemthing and improved upon it like the MoB Data infor which was updated over the years with corrections and chnages, as well as some additional info.

Right now there are two major apps. The 1st is Yubo Maps which is a user supported stand alone program to be used when ya want to find a particu;ar material to dig.

The other app is an IG app called Bunny Tools which is a "shell" for the individual apps that were spreadsheet apps. Most of the tools are listed in the 1st post. Others were never released publically such as the "prediction" tool we used to originally crack the occupation recipes and the results thereof. Our policy has been not to release any "spoiler" type tools or info which would kill the enjoyment of challenges presented by the game.

But as most Bunnies suffer from CRS Syndrome, these were all stored on Buynny Net as separate tools... some public / some private. With the help or Mirakel's programming skills, these are now being released as IG apps. Again, seee 1st post.

Talkirc
pretty easy, there was a study on this:

occupation cool down (per grade) 21 hours

New Horizons cool down 23 hours

no need to verify my efforts

Don't ya hate spending 25 minutes on a post and having the IG app crash.

Yes I know there was a "study" on this, tho the word "study" seems quite a big stretch.  I did it and posted it on bunnynet ... I'd guess about 6 years ago ... well before merge. At the beginning it was 20 hours and, yes I did set an alarm once each cycle for the 4 am practice so I could get an extra practice in every 5 days.  Just found one of the old public threads.  The interesting part starts on page 6 ... my memory isn't too bad I guess ... 4 months short of 6 years ago.

http://forums.ryzom.com/showthread.php?t=35022&page=5

There are two Bunny Tools for occs.  The first I think qualifies as a "study" if not "major undertaking" and resulted in a spreadsheet in which we recorded the efforts of our Occ group (ranged in number from 5 - 7 peeps over time ) .  Back then there was nobody to ask for recipes as no one had them at this point.  By covering various variables collectively, we elimiated duplication oif effort and benefited from each others ideas on how the math was structured.  We were able to determine the deducts for each "Echelon" as they were called.  For example each of the chosen numbers could result in a deduct of, say for E3 of (0-30):

-0.00 (0 x 3.33)
-6.67 (2 x 3.33)
-13.33 (4 x 3.33)
-16.67 (5 x 3.33)
-20.00 (6 x 3.33)
-23.33 (7 x3.33)
-30.00 (9 x 3.33)

All of the deducts are "X" x 3.33 ... with the "X's" getting bigger as you move up.  So if you had 12345 result in 90% and 12346 result in 60%, you knew that 5 was the correct choice for the 5th number (30 max difference) and you moved on.  The tool recorded the results of each participants practice, what % result they got and then used formulae and modeling to predict the next choices.  Essentially no different from tackling an NPC boss or any boss for that matter .. take a shot, examine / discuss results among those that particpated and make a plan based upon what you've learned. Only instead of speels / melee and attack techniques, we used math.

This tool has only been shared with those particpants in the effort; tho with so many (if not all) recipes having been made public, I should prolly put up a list of those on Ari that were the first to nail the 100% recipes.  Not to dimish the efforts of those that accomplished the same subsequently or indeendently, but those folks should get some recognition for their efforts.   Other groups / guilds undertook their own efforts and results were rarely shared among groups, some guarding the info quite jealously.  And of course, this happened independently on 3 different servers.

The second Bunny Tool was publically released and it determined the most efficient methods for you to complete your advancement thru each level, both with respect to the number of practices required and with the least amount of wasted produce.   For example, if you need 30 to get to the next level, improving makes no sense... if you have a 100% recipe 18 + 18 gets you there just a sfast as 24 + 24.  At 150, there's a few options worth considering.

As I had done this all before; it was less fun the second time around.  So I wanted to get thru the 6 grades as fast as I could and start using those products for points / cash.

As for determining the times, again, I'd have a hard time calling it a "study".   I'd hesitate to even say "effort" was involved.  Here's what I did:

1. Occ Practice Cooldown - Go to board, take Occ, complete it.  Try and do it again. Read the pop up message that says "You can't do this again for 20 hours and 59 minutes".  No tools, alarm clocks or more then modicum of effort required.

2.  Occ Special items - Go to Occ master, ask for waters, ambers or flowers.  Try and do it again. Read the message that says "You can't do this again for 47 hours and 45 minutes".  Again, no tools, ... modicum of effort required.

3.  NH Cooldown - When it was first put in and explained, were were told what the cooldown was.   I remember checking it and all of this went into bunnynet (aka CRS Central).  After all, there would be no Bunnynet if not for CRS in the first place. :)

The problem here was, as I thought was made clear, is that the Bunnynet resource is no longer available to us.  As most GLs had access to and, with our blessing, would sometimes duplicate information on their Guild web sites, I had hoped that someone had a copy of that post or had otherwise posted their own info that they had determined on their own back then and could confirm so that the tool could be completed and all players could benefit.

What I did find rather curious and it brought a smile of amusement to my face is that many in Atys remain CRS afflicted.  All things considered, as most folks log in and out the same time of day, I think few are interested enough to advance their alarm clocks 2 hours each day to pick up an extra 360k every 12 days or so.  I couldn't remember if it was 22 or 23 (22 hrs 59 minutes maybe ?) but 22 stuck in my mind.  Maybe even like Occ practices, it changed since 1st introduced.  But before we take the tool outta Beta, I wanted it to be correct.  I'm sure everone I asked knew that answer at one point but CRS runs rampant on Atys. At this time, all Mirakel has done is create the layout .. the wording and numbers are just something to take up space at this point.

I have started using Bunny Tools some.

I like checking how many mobs I have to kill until the next level.

I also find checking what resistances a mob has very handy.

RECIPES:

I am a noob. I am struggling with recipes. If recipes are so easy to get then why doesn't someone post some.

Recipes are giving some players a choke hold on the economy. Please someone send me some recipes. I need some too.

When Occs were first introduced, the most frustrating thing was getting to the mimimum 60% where it was heping you some. The general mindsets back then included:

1) Knowing the recipes give me / us an advantage and I / we won't share
2) Random shots at the 60% recipe are pure luck and it's frustrating to try day after day w/o success and therefore "no fun", so sharing 60% is OK. But why spoil the fun, and render others efforts useless. (Personally, I loved figuring them out ... It was a challenge and fun.)
3) I don't want a chalenge or fun, I just want the shortest means to and end which includes me getting stuff.

I don't share the recipe obtained by the orginal group because that was the agreement made when the effort was initiated. OTOH, we all agreed that sharing 60% recipes were fine. Kaly put a web site with a very good description of the Occs as well as most of the 60% recipes. Most of this was transferred to the Ryzom wiki page and to the disppointment of many, numerus 100% recipes have been added over the years.

http://en.wiki.ryzom.com/wiki/Occupations

At least the above link correctly identifies the recipes as spoilers and users can decide whetehr or not they want to take this route, If you want help on figuring them out, the methodology is all contained in that 2010 link above.

Until we get more "Celebrity Spokespersons" from Atys to do videos, here's the start of instructions for installing and using each of the Bunny Tools:

BUNNY TOOLS INSTALLATION:

If you don't have the App Bar visible, then just type "Shift-W" (no quotes) without having ya cusor inside any dialog boxes.  It will bring up this image:

Click on the APP ZONE button to get to this screen:

While you are here, you may want to "Enable" Web App Bar".  Mine is already anabled so only the "Disable" option showing.

Scroll down the list and you will see the lil Bunny Icon for "Bunny Tools".  Click the green dot with + on it to load the app in game.

If you have the App Bar visible, then just click the "Gear Icon" on the far right side of the bar which gets you to the same place.

Once installed, if using the App Bar, you will see the Bunny Tools (BT) icon in your App Bar.

Alternately, if you don't like having the App Bar visible, just go to the APP ZONE as above, scroll down and the tool will be there.

Hechicera already did a video for this one (See link 1st post) but wants to redo at better resolution.  Until then, here's the instructions for the ...

GEAR CALCULATOR:

From your App Bar or APP ZONE, launch "Bunny Tools".

Once launched, click the "Gear" Calculator under the "Calculators Section" and then open your IDENTITY Window in game.  Once done, you should see something like this.

1.  Put your highest level, in any skill, in the first drop down window.

2.  In the second drop down window, copy your Constitution from the IDENTITY tab.  NOTE:  As this , as well as the following 3 items, can be multiples of 5 and the drop downs only go by 10, put 20 in as in this example if you have 25.   This will likely be addressed in next update.

3.  In the third drop down window, copy your Strength from the IDENTITY tab.

4.  In the fourth drop down window, coipy your Intelligence from the IDENTITY tab

5.  In the fifth drop down window, coipy your Balance from the IDENTITY tab

6.  Hit the CALCULATE button to see that you can equip:

Light Armor = QL 35
Medium Armor = QL 30
Heavy Armor = QL 30
Sheilds = QL 30
Buckler = QL 30
Jewels = QL 35
Melee Weapons = QL 30
Magig Amplifier = QL 35
Ranged Weapons = QL 30

Again, until we get more "Celebrity Spokespersons" from Atys to do videos, here's another tutorial for the next Bunny Tool:

XP Calculator:

From your App Bar or APP ZONE, lauunch Bunny Tools:

Once launched, click the "XP" Calculator under the "Calculators Section" and you should see this when you click on the 1st drop down window:

For this example, let's try and see how many crafts, and hence how many mats, you would have to go from Level 100 to Level 101 when you are averaging 7,000 XP per craft.

The tool tells us that you should get there with just 4 crafts.

Again, until we get more "Celebrity Spokespersons" from Atys to do videos, here's another tutorial for the next "Bunny Tool":

Mats Calculator:

From your App Bar or APP ZONE, launch Bunny Tools:

Once launched, click the "Mats" Calculator of your choice under the "Calculators Section", in this case we'll choose the "Mats Calculator (Armor), and you should see this window:

In this example, by looking at our INVENTORY window in game, we input that your toon currently has 100 Bulk in his / her inventory and that the Mount we brought along with us has 50 Bulk in its inventory.

We also note that we are already carrying 12, Wood, 12 Resin, 8 Oil and 8 Sap. and that we will be grinding using a "High Quality, Heavy Helmet" pattern.

When ya hit the CALCULATE button, the tool will tell you the optimum amount of mats to dig of each type so that, at the end of your craft session, you won't be out of one item and have 200 mats left in your storage that ya can't craft with because you are short that one mat type.

The Melee,  Ranged and Jewel Tools work the exact same way though the Jewel Tool is a kind of an "in your head" kinda claculation as numbers of mats ya need to dig / collect will always equal available bulk.

Again, until we get more "Celebrity Spokespersons" from Atys to do videos, here's another tutorial for the next "Bunny Tool":

Mob Data:

From your App Bar or APP ZONE, launch "Bunny Tools":

Once launched, click the "Mob Data" Tool under the "Encyclopedia" Section and you should see this window:

In this case, let's say you're in PR digging in close proximity to "Jugulas" and you want to be prepared by knowing:

1.  Do they aggro ?
2.  How close you can get to them before they will aggro you ?
3.  What type of physical / magic damage they will do to you ?
4.  What is their resistance to various physical / magical attacks from you ?
5.  What affinities do they resist or have immunities to ?

NOTE:  Aggro range in particular seems to vary slightly from region to region.

Again, until we get more "Celebrity Spokespersons" from Atys to do videos, here's another tutorial for the next "Bunny Tool":

Occupation Timers:

From your App Bar or APP ZONE, launch Bunny Tools:

Once launched, click the "Occupations" Tool under the "Reminders" Section and you should see this window:

There are three (3) different types of timers:

1.  Occupation Timers:  Once you have completed a "practice" for any of the eight occupations, select that Occupation from the drop down window and click "REMIND ME" button.  If you go back to do another Grade, hit the "RESET" button.  "Rinse and Repeat" for up to your three alotted professions.

2.  Special Item Timers:  Once you have collected any of the three "Special Items" (Ambers of Protection, Lucky Flowers or Stimulating Waters) select that item from the drop down window and click "REMIND ME" button.    "Rinse and Repeat" for up to your three available items.

3.  New Horizons Timer:  Once you have turned in your 36th item of Occupation Produce to a New Horizons Dude, select "New Horizons Turn-In" from the drop down window and click "REMIND ME" button.    "Rinse and Repeat" for up to your three available items.  If you only did 24, and do another 12 later, hit the "RESET" button after completing the extra 12.
