I did a Steam game restore using that USB key. Started the game and to my surprise it already knew who I am and what my password is because it took me directly to the playing character chooseing screen.
If you using Steam to login to Ryzom, then Ryzom account gets linked to Steam user after first successful login.
No passwords are saved on Steam side.
