It would be nice if there was another kind of close combat weapon, ideally brass knuckles. It would require the addition of new skill-tree branches in close combat melee fight and in close combat weapon crafting. They would work just like daggers, and depending on race would have varying looks. For example, fyros brass knuckles might be spiky, while zora ones might be ligned with glowing orbs on each knuckle.

What about "knucks"? It's a valid term, if a bit on the slang side.

Ty all for the input :)! I repropose implementing "Knucks" as a smashing-type close combat weapon. I think daggers are considered piercing, and for slashing... hmm, what do you guys think would be good for a slashing close-combat weapon?

No metals? What are the Karavan TPs made of? Shells and bones are made of calcium which is a metal btw, not to mention the iron in blood :P

For the Karavan things: probably iron BUT as Jena (and the Karavan) watched the "Green Explosion" of Atys they're probably from another Planet. And try to take a piece of the TP to craft your knuckles ;-)

Shells are made of Calcium carbonate (CaCO3 ; 1:4 ratio metal - no metal by the chemical definition)

If a normal human is talking about metals he doesn't think about everything other than H+He (Astronomy) or the Chemical definition but anything that has a metallic look (titan, silver, gold, iron, ...) so if a metal is bound to other things and thus doesn't look like metal it's not seen as metal by the public.

Properly made Magical Amplifiers or bare fists arent good enough ? Come on! Fight like a MAN! Go kill a kincher naked! ;)

Puting the jokes aside. I think instead of making "Knuckles" and other trees of crafting, simply adjust the Magic Amplifiers non-magical stats. You already can make "decent" Amps using good shaft and grip and low magic Focus, but they are still underpowered compared to other melee weapons.

Magic amps combat stats dont work. They are the same as fighting bare-fisted.

Bare Knuckles do it for me - very satisfying to take down a Javing when you aren't using a weapon for him to disarm you of.

I see an option for making magic amps having a -slight- boost on H2H combat, but brass knuckles seems like a good idea. If that doesn't work, maybe take Amplifiers out the Close Combat crafting skill by naming it differently.

I do approove the idea of Sinsemilla (+1?)
