Following on from a guild chat I was having last night, I'd like to hear your stories of the ways you have earned DP. I'm not talking about heroic fights against kitins hordes or battles to the death with opposing factions; I'm talking about the silly ones, the ones where you did something clumsy and laughed about it afterwards, or just felt plain dumb.

Example 1
In the dark and distant past, Doc and I decided it was time to leave the Fyros starter island and head to the mainland for the first time. We arrived in Pyr like 2 awestruck tourists, headed out of the gates and decided to try some hunting. I suggested nuking "one of those weird plants" because "it won't be able to hit us from a distance".
Result: Shooki blows us both away..."rez please".

Example 2
Guild trek to Thesos for the first time; just outside town, Neela walks towards a Kipesta "are these aggro?". One team wipeout later....."rez please".

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

When there was the Leanon Kitin Invasion of Pyr and I heard the Kitins are coming, I decided I'll have a look and ran to Ceratos Gate. While I'm heading out, some strange flying creatures were heading in - first time I saw Kipestas. I probably was the first who fell in Pyr, apart from the guards ... "rez please?"

My first lesson in why it's important to look at the target window, instead of just spacebar+attack..

Before leaving the old Matis starter island, I was leveled enough that I could take on any monster there with my daggers and come out mostly intact. Fast forward a couple days to me stabbing yubos in the forest, and all of a sudden "... rez please"

"also, wtf is Ora??"

How about every single guildtrekk ever in GoJ/GoS? It all goes along nicely, and then someone sais: "I'm bored." (me, most of the time)

Things tend to go out of control rather quickly after that.

During one of the OP Wars someone decided to drag some Aggro on me in retribution for killing their Packers, something I didn't or don't remember doing. Good times. =)

I was going from Yrkanis to Zora to pick up some mats from a friend. To fit as many mats as possible into my bag I got nekkid and took out all my teleports except Zora. When i got there I had this feeling that Id done something stupid but didnt figure it out untill I was about to head home to Yrkanis...
Then started the long and DP-filled trip back to the forest. I have never forgotten a TP since.

Not a direct death, but the my stupidness forced me to die a lot of times on the way home.

Running through low level aggro not thinking about it, 5 - 7 mins later I die with about 9 gingos and 4 raguses. Another time, running through a kitin mound on a mek for the fun of it, *rez please*.
