Personally, I am a bit amused by the conservative clinging to that exploit. Anyway, it exists, and "legalizing" it by showing the true resistance would be a "bug fix" in a way, as well. As far as I see, the faulty coding has no malicious effect elsewhere.

In fact, fixing the bug would change the situation in PvP to some extent, sure. Tanks would be more in danger, so would - even more - mages and healers. No side would have an advantage, only tactics had to change. Obviously, the seasoned PvPers feel too immobile for such a challenge. I am amused.

In a previous post, I suggested dagger fighters to challenge mages, be they healers or nukers. The answer was that a dagger fighter would be down in 3s . Maybe. If she gets the attacking mage (circular is your friend, and a dagger hits every second) before being hit with an interrupt, oops. And a downed dagger fighter remains a threat, rez is fast in PvP.

As to the launcher, I did not understand at all how the range fighter should lie in 4s. Great thing with range is, you lock the target from distance, pull the trigger, run in and out, boom. Normal launchers (not my lvl launcher optimized to adv parry) have 60m range, nearly 70 with rubbarn. I am not sure whether a launcher does interrupt (hope not), but mages may lie in 1-3 hits, many of them.

So for me, all the heated dispute is fun.

I never said I chose to use amps. In a 1v1 I could win a fight with amps. Most could if they had some experience. I'm just saying the game is fairly balanced. Changing the jewels would completely unbalance it.

Tizona I PvP with drezar all the time and I can tell you right now he does use his amps from time to time. Don't make statements based on shoddy guesswork that you cannot back up. Drezar is not bragging. He is simply saying you can use ele or melee and they both work- he is backing this up by saying he has used both before in combat and they both work. Backing up what you are saying by adding evidence is a good way to get your point across- perhaps you should try it sometime.

Daomei I am far from immobile- I like change. But change where you completely eliminate tanks from OP wars I don't see as good change. I am a dagger fighter myself and yes what you are talking about would work in close 2v2 matches. However in large scale fights such as OP wars there are too many opposing mages to keep them all stunned (if i actually survive getting to them) which would mean I would still be dead in 3 seconds. I am also not saying that rezzes aren't fast but as tanks have over 6k hp. This means once dead the hp penalty to rez them is 3k. Therefore I would be dying really quick and fast- and needing 9k heal to rez and fully heal me- I consider this a liability to any team.

Yes a launcher has more range but all it would take is for someone to run out the mage pod- cast a few spells and enchants and the launcher would be dead.

I want to add that just because this is an exploited bug, it may be harder and probably ways more complex, risky and time-consuming to change the client to show the real values than just correcting it - or leaving it as it is.

If you take a look at source code ( server side ) you can see the code to cap RESISTANCE is there...function is there...they just are not using it. So if they want to "fix it" they can do it in 1min.

OK, so I have a question for you.....

Do you know all recipes about all PVP stuff and all details about PVP???

No again??? well, about PVP recipe I know but the second I don´t know everything heheheh

So, like most players we need to practice, pay attention, study some new possibilities do PVP with friend to test them and keep in mind Kipee Craft can´t do all the job for you all the time :D.

This sounds like the normal bounce a couple elements off someone, switch elements to find what works best, call out weaknesses to teammates...everybody switches jewels, rinse, repeat. I'm ok with that. It's an extra layer of complexity between what we have and straight up button mashing.

If I resub and show up in PvP or an OP war with my cruddy jewels I expect to get nuked for not having proper resist jewels. Anything less would disappoint me.
