I have no idea about the amount of f2p and p2p but i imagine there are loads more f2p chars then paying p2p chars. I don't see in the post that they will save non subbed p2p chars either. Like I said before the only accounts they are sure that are active are probably the paying p2p accounts so moving them is probably gonna take em loads of money and time already if they have to start moving all the f2p accounts aswell then the game would probably be down for months because to amount of them being made.

And like said before they aren't making money on those accounts and with 3servers merged there will be plenty p2p players on the new server already, why would they move chars that don't pay and maybe never login after the reset anymore

There are reasons for resisting subscription, other than satisfaction and cost. Perhaps a "pay by snail mail" option could be provided, and other such creative ways to keep some of the advantages of F2P .

Thank you for listening to the community.

I'm an f2p player and this is going to make me want to sub. I've not been playing long but I always thought the 125 level cap with no other penalties was very generous.

I've also seen a lot of players coming back to the game in the last day or so - maybe some of them will stay.

I
any game.. has to attract people even if they're not going to pay and this kind of people are important to keep the game alive ( continuity ) that's why all games which the payment is obligatory are not famous and they do not achieve any progressing
then i do not think ryzom like to lose us
please Suboxide do not try to say " we are ( P2P's) better than you(F2P's ) "

#60 Reporter | Citer[en]

I'm not saying P2P players are better then F2P players but I think it comes down to money and time. I myself have probably 4 f2p accounts i've used for fun or even more and i think alot of ppl are like me then there are the real f2p players, ppl with f2p alts and the f2p players that made account and only used it once and so on; there have to be an unimagenable amount of f2p accounts.

If you are f2p all u need to do is participate in events to get thethe basic pack

#62 Reporter | Citer[en]

Suboxide
F2P can do almost every thing as a P2P - and to get all your skills to 125(mini-master) it took a while ( maybe years) so i beleive that F2P has to benefit from "saving levels" as well as P2P - if its impossible or ryzom needs money so as Yenno said motivate F2P's and encourage them to start again by giving them some special stuff..."

i know about that Zyeir and i have start packs but that'snt really enough cuz people will lose a years/months of hard working versus 10K deppers and some newbie stuff

Shush you guys. Take it into Guild chat. :P

It is not nice to slap a gift horse in the mouth. Winchgate & the Devs have taken our concerns into account (they certainly didn't have to), and responded in the best way they could within practical means in the short time they have left to do so, to appease as many posted player concerns as possible. (Many people posted how they would gladly pay even more $$$ to preserve their skills, and Winchgate provided a solution that won't cost them a dime more than they pay now.)

Asking them to make a monumental effort on behalf of the F2P players isn't anywhere near the top of anybody's list, as far as I've read in the forums to date.

You certainly can, and should, post your F2P concerns. Why not start a new thread on it? If you have a positive suggestion, make it (note the word "positive"). Something that is achievable with the limited labor at their disposal (but keep in mind they have their hands full atm just bringing these changes to us.) The "now that you've given us this, give us even more, and snap to it!" line kinda rings badly to me. (just imho, sorry)

Santa just dropped a major Gift on all of our laps, and has brought smiles to many, many players' faces. If you can't be happy about it for yourself, be happy about it for them.

I don't care at this point if they wipe me or not., or toss a Feral Yubo into my Zorai undies, even. I am VERY glad that many people all across the globe will be smiling big smiles today. That fact will have me beaming all day today.

+1 Winchgate :)

You guys seriously rock!!

#66 Reporter | Citer[en]

It sounds a fair decision.

I forgot to ask a small question: what will happens to the personalized actions in our handbars for the chars that will retain the skills?

(...)The levels of this character will all be reset and it will start with a Premium Package (other characters of the account keep their levels and get a Basic Pack)(...)

I don't understand this very well... Premium Packs says we keep our levels and stats, but being part of the reckless list will reset all our levels AND then give us a Premium Pack. In this case I suppose that the "keeping nnn" part doesn't count, or I'm wrong?

#68 Reporter | Citer[en]

Hmm where does it say permium pack lets you keep lvl's? just name and characterristics.
So putting a char on reckless list gives it some items but resets it's lvls to 1

#69 Reporter | Citer[en]

subs get to keep their lvl's

and they can choose 1 char to reset lvl's and recieve premium pack
