The game keeps crashing on me when I use character selection. Below is the last message I received:

Access Violation exception generated at 0xC87A48, thread attempts to read at 0x12555044.
The thread attempted to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.

Here are some things that have helped clear up crashes for me in the past:

Try emptying the cache folder (Ryzom\cache).

If that doesn't work, try renaming client.cfg (Ryzom\client.cfg)

If that doesn't work, run ryzom_configuration_rd.exe (Ryzom\ryzom_configuration_rd.exe) and click the Default button.

I was wondering about the cache folder, it is full, and I was going to delete it but will it erase notes, flags, or what exactly is the cache folder? I already lost all my notes and map flags once, I'd hate to have it happen again.

Those are all saved in the save folder with a name like interface_sueky.icfg and keys_sueky.xml. The cache folder contains image data and such.
