I went to the shooting stars show and then to the crash site. By the time I tried to "interact" with the strange fallen object, it was so laggy that nothing happened. Knowing that the mission was available for a week, I decided to log off and come back when it was quieter (hopefully tonight).
Am I reading between the lines on other posts correctly here? This is linked to the megacorp post and allows access? Then we have to acquire C60? How do we get the C60? Digging again? Yet another dig event with a leaderboard then?
What I don't understand is how this "device" fits in with Ryzom lore? Are we just supposed to accept that there's this strange network out there? What's the explanation for why we collect the C60? I ask because I'm not really seeing the point in going through what sounds like a relatively lengthy access process if that's all it is and it doesn't even sit well within what homins know about the history of Atys.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.
