I like this idea. If you're Zorai aligned for example you can get CoI towns and Void TPs. It'd give an extra gameplay reason to align with one of the civilizations, specially if you're faction neutral.

Never argue with an idiot; they will just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience.

Im with ya ghuiss, let all trykers use the tps in the lakeland cities, let all the zoraï use theirs etc. It's a bit silly this way, to be honest.

"It's shite being tryker! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of Atys! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilization. Some people hate the Matis. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are COLONIZED by wankers. Can't even find a decent culture to be colonized BY. We're ruled by effete arseholes. It's a shite state of affairs to be in, Marceline, and ALL the fresh air in the world won't make any ****** difference"

TP's are faction aligned not race aligned. why would a kami in the jungle allow a karavan/zorai use the tp just because they are zorai? Or do you mean when someone first comes to the mainland?

#8 [en]

True, but giving more depth to the civ allignment (apart from being able to maybe, if you're in the correct position in a guild, take part in player government) is a good idea.
Could be nation specific vendors (but what would they sell in a world where everything is player crafted?) or national craft plans to create items only other citizens can use (could imagine the waving swords for example falling into that category, except everyone has those things already and the burning one is issued to all refugees on Silan during their training).

Civ Vendors ? They could sell crafting tools with focus bonus on them, which would help when you're actually crafting gear with stats bonuses for someone, just like the special harvesting picks.

Fashion gear or special craft plans (new skins for the same old armors, without affecting stats). For example, LA hats without protections as they are mainly decorative but that you could still put a HP/Sap/Focus bonus on. I imagine the Tryker could have the Pirate/sailors style hat, the matis would have aristocratic hats, Zorai would have straw hats, or something with feathers, while fyros would have something that looks like a cowboy hat to protect themselves from the scorching rays of the desert sun...

don't feel for it sherkalyn what about hominists and marauders? do they have be nerfed even more?

Hominists I can see deserving something a fair bit more than Marauders. The whole idea of a marauder is someone who no one likes; you have negative reputation among the civs bordering on kill-on-sight. It's a very easy status to achieve: just go cuss a civ representative a few times.

It's different than merely not being a devoted citizen, particularly one who has worked to attain a level of respect from one or more of the civs even though they are not a citizen. Hominists should be well-received, perhaps more so by the ambassador types, but even still ... they are not citizens and should not receive citizen rewards.

There could be (and probably should be) benefits for marauders, but they should not come from the civs they supposedly reject. If anything, there should be other entities who also don't like the civs with whom marauders can interact based on the principle of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" that is sometimes used.

But in general, actions and decisions should have consequences, else why even have limits or fame or requirements for citizenship or anything of the sort?

you are partly right depends about what you are talking about since this thread got kinda hijacked, i can understand the civ tp's no probs with that (well maybe theists schould get some tp's also lets for instance say all tp's except the pr zones sounds good for me), but when talking about new gear like hats and stuff why should marrauders/hominists be denied access to those things?

Got called away before I could finish editing to come back to the original idea *blushes*

If I'm understanding it correctly without projecting too much, citizenship giving a reward of fast travel to the various towns would be a great idea. Perhaps not instantaneous, and perhaps not "from anywhere in the game", but something to make the citizens' lives more convenient when in the lands to which they have committed themselves is definitely a splendid idea.

Sorry guys, I do speak and can read it tooooo, but somewhat I don't get what Ghuiss is writing at all.

Suppose Erizon's guess is what is meant, then I do agree wholeheartly with the idea.
E.g. a Matis who decides against Kami/Karavan should still be able to travel within Matis freely, including the 250er. Maybe a kind of teleportation which can be bought from Hawkers within that region or else.

Anyway, no specific ideas from me torwards it, but if Erizon's interpretation is right, then thumb up.
