I have a F2P alt with level 125 digging. She died and took death penalty. I attempted to dig the DP off, and instead of seeing the DP reduce, I only saw the message about "you are at max level for a free account" etc. The DP never decreased via digging.

Has anyone else noticed this?

hmm, interesting. Did you try digging somewhere where she hasn't reached the cap?

Does sound like a bug though, you don't get the same when digging at master level after all.

Nah. I assumed that would work as before, since she has only reached 125 in one region (unfortunately, that is her only 125 level skill so I can't test with anything else).

If you have reached max free trial level in a skill, you no longer earn XP for that skill, so it logically follows that you cannot use that skill for reducing DP.

So, I doubt it is a bug, but I will double check with the devs to make sure this behaviour is as intended.

Paying accounts can earn DP reduction XP on a 250 level skill though. So it seems to be working differently at the 125 cap.

yup, any master digger can dig off a dp in minutes using her master skill. For free accounts, digging at 125 should IMO have a similar effect.

Might be as designed, but that'd be a flawed design :)

Hey, is there any confirmation that this is Working As Intended and is to be treated differently than skills at 250, or something that slipped through the cracks? Just curious, so I know whether or not to be awaiting a change =)

Had several people join and quit as soon as they hit 125 in a single skill. Not sure if it's a common pattern or we just got an odd couple, but it does happen.

If they quit at 125 I guess the dp is not a problem. Anyone who still plays capped at 125 will probably be raising other skills which can be used to remove their dp.

Though digging is very commonly used to remove DP, and this "max-level" behaviour differs from the real max level behaviour at 250, you're right ... just use something else. Time also heals wounds as well.

It would still be nice to have confirmation that this is intended. Who knows, it may just be an oversight that no one noticed yet.
