I don't have a horse in this race ... but I do see a role for a class who can go freely anywhere to serve as sort of a diplomatic envoy, get a chance to enjoy the scenery, learn some lore, whatever. While serving as such, you would be unable to engage in PvP and stay that way for a time period after your visit.

To my eyes, unless I am missing something, it really ddn't change anything. I snuck into the Marauder Camp and managed to visit one of the craft vendors and was able to buy many craft plans beore I got dead.

Respawned ... rinse and repeat and I eventually got them all.... way before you could enter the ciry unarmed. However,just as I want every player to do the RP thing, I also want every player not to do the RP thing. Unequipping your weapon seems like too small a thing. to be able to flip flop all around. We have cooldowns for everything ...I don't see an objection to say "applying for a visa :) ", whereby you coud do a series of tasks to earn the right to visit, take a scenic tour and then after a period you gotta go home.

+1 Freddy - I agree. I figured-out the fame balance to do exactly that - represent all as a dipomat...I have no Q250 zone TP's - I have no Prime Roots TP's (Except for Nexus which is neutral) and I only have the tp's that are allowed to be purchased by neutrals...also, I do not PvP nor attend OP battles :P

And I can go anywhere freely weapon in-hand and be protected by all.
