As I sit here, waiting to regain health and stamina, I read my "SYS. INFO" tab, as I uisually do, and I wonder for the billionth time, OK, probably not the billionth time, but you know what I mean, I see the text displayed:

"You gain 4500 (2250) experience points in 'One-handed Melee Fight'."

So, what's up with the two numbers? How many experience points have I gotten? Is the pair of numbers always "2N (N)"?

I am just wondering, I cannot recall having read this anywhere?

I am just curious... Please enlighten me....

as a subscribed player you have what we call perma-cats (perminate catalizers)

catalizers double your xp, so the base is the lower number and then the larger number is the results of the cat's

free to play accounts don't have perma-cat's but can get consumable cat's on the mainland.

better to ask and learn the wonder, and the only dumb question is one not answered.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.
