IDEAS FOR RYZOM

What if there was an incentive for an f2p player to minimaster all skills?

*Rights to guild/own apartment?
*Ability to buy a packer?
*Ability to forage/craft q150 equipment?

I think it's a noble quest which is deserving of a noble reward.

Umm, full master masters only get a title, why should we give so much valuable stuff to unpaid accounts? especially since most people would just turn their F2p alts into minimasters to get those benefits.

Wasn't suggesting all those benefits. 1 would be nice though. Was merely putting out suggestions.

actually yes, lets let them buy packers and GH, but not be able to use inventory :D

From a purely business standpoint, I think the goal is to encourage people to subscribe and spend money on the game. So it can keep running. Not to encourage people to continue f2p for longer periods of time. Which would be the case here.

With that said, I wouldn't mind some kind of special title to players who manage to get all their skills to 125 (f2p or p2p). Maybe "jack of all trades" or something similar?

all those limitations where put in place to give ppl an incentive to pay for the game. So getting rid of some of those limitations would mean less incentive to pay and support the game.

*Rights to guild/own apartment?
> Ryzom looses alot of subscriptions from ppl with alts for storage since those wouldn't need to be subbed + alot more server load since everyone gonna have some free alts with filled GH's

 *Ability to buy a packer?
> same as above, I know ppl that already use f2p alts just for the mount so a packer would be same as above

*Ability to forage/craft q150 equipment?
> No idea really about this still it's an incentive less but not really that important?

*title
> It's not that hard to get all 125 I guess, got no idea never tried the digging/crafting stuff in ryzom but can't be that hard of a grind in the end I've seen loads of guildies doing it

Hello

I think that those ppl who use f2p accounts must be happy that they can train realy all skills up to 125. So they can play the half game for free. In the days the most player started to play Ryzom only Silan was f2p, if you want to join mainland you must pay. Silan was a great area to test the most things that Ryzom offers and after that period you must be able to chose if you wanna have more or not. So it would be easy to say "Yes, i pay for many more and keep this game alive" or "No, this game issnt mine".

I love this game and if i wanna see all again i can use another char from my subbed account.

Limitations like no Packers or Guildhall are OK, if you need more space, pay your account.

Nice idea, but I do think the fact you can do most things in this game as a f2p is a gift in itself. Incentives should be made to sub, not to stay unsubbed.

The only idea that seems to me logical and would bring some fun to F2P accounts is:
- F2P could craft Q140 items on their own (once reached/completed a certain level/rite).
As for digging, it's already the case and F2P could digg Q140 materials.
A 140 weapon would be as good as a 150 one and it's more or less the same for armors so beeing able to craft Q140 items for a F2P would be very useful, and that wouldn't break anything.

Personally, I think it'd be nice for mini-masters to get special titles.

I cannot justify giving them any more than that for reasons that have already been brought up, but what harm would a commemorative title bring?

Do not assume that you speak for all just because you are the loudest voice; there are many who disagree that simply have no desire to waste words on you.

As long as you don't mind being seen by some as a player who wants to get that much out of the game, without subbing.  I personally would be embarrassed to show a title that advertised the fact.

It's bad luck to be superstitious . . .

I think a lot of the mini-masters are alts anyways though.
