(by the way, I just remembered how many times all the oldies have said how they miss leveling ele. That getting master ele was the worst thing ever, since that meant they couldn't level it no more. Well... now you can! Just figured it has to count for something.)

That's funny... Ele is probably THE skill I hated leveling most... Spamming the ONE button over and over until mob is dead then Assist macro and rince-repeat made me almost get keyboard faced many times... I liked healing and melee so much more because it actually required me to pay attention to what I was doing... ^^

Funny I hear a lot of people saying that melee is too simple (double click a action and lean back) but I see it like you do ;-)
