Hi everyone,

As many of you I can't skip Ryzom from my mind ! Even if i'm not present every day.

I would like to know your opinions playeurs and "Winch Gates" compagny on the possibility of creating a "kickstart" project for Ryzom? In order to offert a new features/extension.
"Wikipedia"
Kickstarter is a crowd funding website for creative projects. Kickstarter has funded a diverse array of endeavors, ranging from indie films, music and comics to journalism, video games and food-related projects.

More than happy to support Ryzom in every way, and feel i do that with the multiple accounts i pay for monthly.

Before i was to offer any further assistance i want to see some action in the form of new content and fixes for problems been in game since it started.  The last patch was in my oppinion a complete disaster with the endless amount of bugs it bought forward and took too long to get fixes for them (Some of which i believe are still to be fixed).

As i say above more than happy to try and bring the game back to life.  Havnt used or had anything to do with Kickstart previously but hope it can help our community grow again.  Kudos to you for taking the challenge up.

I would support it, but as whitenight says. We would need to know it was going to good use.

We currently have a very small development team and more funding would obviously help that...any up and coming developers can help work on Ryzom we should be helping to promote the game to C++ developers and getting them involved in the google coding project for this summer.

Fully support this and would be more than happy to back it as long as it goes to good use

Heh.

I started with Ryzom back in open beta. I've been in and out of the game. Always chasing the new shiny mmo, but always come back to Ryzom. I've kept the account live (paid up) except for a couple months after the first time I went journeying into throwing away money on the next new "big thing".

So, in effect, I've already contributed a few hundred dollars to a game I wasn't even playing while I was paying for it.

I would like to see a Ryzom II. There's lots that could stand a second look in dev concepts and some engine changes that would be bene, but if it don't happen, I'll still be playin, and payin. So....

Soloreaper,

Thanks for promoting Ryzom Core's Summer of Code 2012 entry. The student application deadline is long past but we have some pretty promising students. So this is pretty hopeful. We even have some who are looking at adding some game functionality. Last year we had a student add guild-based missions to Ryzom Core. We'd love to see that get used in Ryzom itself.

I started a blog for the Ryzom Core developers recently based on some feedback in a couple places - one was that the project seemed "dormant" and the other was that we were perceived as being employed by Winch Gate and working directly on Ryzom.

Check out the first post: http://blog.ryzomcore.org/2012/04/welcome-to-ryzom-core-developer s-blog.html

Short of getting a Kickstarter project up and getting a bunch of people to pledge money to Winch Gate I still want to emphasize that if you have any interest in improving the Ryzom platform please come visit the Ryzom Core community. No reasonable patch will be rejected. No reasonable feature will be dismissed. You really get the ability to provide "Ryzom 2.0" features that you want. So please, come visit us and get involved.
