That vortex is currently not possible to remove from the map, but is not part of the rite and is "not accessible" for normal players. You should not uncover more.
They should hide it way better than just putting plant in front of it then lol. It was damn annoying to find out you cant go on with the rite after accidentally finding something like that. I shouldnt have been able to uncover it, expecially since the routes are literally going trough the plants all the time so that was what we were used to doing in there.
