I'm not quite sure what you're saying about the other toon. There is a known bug that doesn't allow us to switch toons without completely re-logging.
If you have more than one install of ryzom, have you tried a different install folder? It sounds to me as if there is a corrupt file in the install, or possibly a corrupt file on that account (which would be bad).
