was just curious if someone could give me a general run down to the point of the ocupations?? from what i can gather it gives you the ability to make stat boosting type items but only every so often??

That's basically it.
Apart from that you could see thing IC as a way to serve the people of your chosen civilisation.

It gives you regenerative items to be exactly, except for one that gives you a temporary craftskill boosting item.

The occupations themselves are sort of like day jobs, I guess. Every occupation has it's own task to repetitively perform, and they earn you some dapper too.
