Dear gentle and not so gentle homins of Atys, i am posting here tonight to bring a few things that i have noticed lately on my return to the game.
Starting off many of you know that i have been on the game for 7 of the 10 years of Ryzom being a game, and all of those years F2P, I have enjoyed my years on the game, I have been Kami and Karavan both for several years, and over those years we made a lot of great memories and friends, however, times have changed, And what i have seen on my weeks back to the game quite frankly hurt me deeply.

The desire for power and greed is overwhelming not only on the Kami side, but also on the Karavan side, A lot of players have lost the Homin to Homin respect that we all had for one another REGARDLESS of faction, I am truly disgusted when i see players say they will not train with another player simply because of the guild he/she is in, it is one thing if that player is not liked or is a troll, but it truly saddens me when i see homins denying other homins the fun and pleasure of leveling, i do believe in Kara/Kami leveling together to grow stronger for PvP and OP battles, Especially since Kara is struggling right now, AS FOR the OP situation, do bear in mind that who is on top this month is like high and low tide everyday the shift of power shifts like it always has and always will so stop whining if your side is struggling, gather new players, or newly subbed F2P players boost levels and make masters out of them like we are all destined to be and fight for what you want.

As for any players that have disrespected me for going Kami/Asylum shame on you that just reflects poorly on your character as a person in real life, i do find it a damn shame that players take faction swaps/changes so dearly to heart and ruin friendships/mutual respects, For the record i am a Homin Marauder, and Kami Guilded, I respect all Homins of Atys and only ever start something with another if i am started with first, i will train and fight with any/all role play and just simply have fun on the game with all like we are suppose to do but i am finding it harder and harder to do when so many hold personal grudges on a guild and simply judge all their players just because they dont like that guild.

We all need to come together and bond Atys like it previously was, and make the community happy and proud to play the game again because we all know there is a lot of hurt going around. Thank you for taking the time to read my 2;36am rant, i do wish to spend many many more years on the game enjoying leveling myself up and a lot of you up making powerful and great toons out of you.

Lilz When i played with you first time and of also it was last time too. I just want to say one thing that is that day even i dont know about you and about you faction still i came to play with you just because my friend told me to play with you and one more thing we can not clap by one hand. this all things happens becuase there must be some reasons behind it. I hope you will find it and you will try to correct it.

I am not levelling, and I didn't participate in an OP fight for quite some time now (only once since merge, I think). So I am probably not really qualified to comment here. I do know, though, that already shortly after the merge there was a call-out in the rows of the Kamists that it is forbidden to make gear for Karavaneer and to help them in any other way if they don't want to be blacklisted. I also heard a couple of months ago that Karavaneer experienced harassment from their own rows when leveling with Kamists.

It's not a recent phenomenon, sadly, but one which always turns up like a bad penny.

On a purely RP-based experience, if you're so much of a full-blood RP player with not a moment OOC, this makes sense, of course, if you take the part of an extremist (and I'm all for some extremists - not in the real world, but in a game like this). But if it gets so serious that it takes all the fun out of the game - the fun of others, and in the end the own fun as well - then something goes wrong. I always tried a more laid-back attitude to it all. I almost always was on good terms OOC with most of my worst IG enemies, and I do accept that there are times in the game one should accept that a small layer of RP must - and will - do; for fun and for a greater good, the preservation of "our" Atys.

Shvet, Yes indeed we did train back when i was F2P got my ele to 125 i believe it was, but that was regardless of faction/being friends, we were 2 homins in Atys that both needed levels that came together and got them, and thats how it should be.

Salazar, It is important to level even if you are a multi master, The OPs no one HAS to take part but a lot like to just for the PvP and fun of it, But i never heard about those call outs that makes me sick, how can people deny people on either sides the pleasure of getting gear/levels even if their factions appose eachother, that is very wrong.

To be honest this is nothing new. Some years ago when I came back to the game my old Karavan guild OmegaV was gone. So I decided for a change of scene to go Kami, in the space of an hour people who had been speaking to me for years would not give me the time of day. Harassment got to the point where I just quit game.

I've seen lots of examples like this. Ryzom has a great community, but sadly there are some old guard in this game who are great ONLY if you play the game how they want you to and view the game their way. If you don't Woe betide you.

I've always been of the view that Ryzoms community is just too small for those kind of factionalized attitudes, it has harmed this game in the past.

Played ryzom since the beginning.. tbh there were always conflicts between kami and karavan, when they introduced the OPs, Its part of the game, and its roleplay.. But, i agree that some people / guilds take things a bit too far at times.. Ive always played ryzom the way i wanted to, made loads of friends, possibly more enemies.. But ive always enjoyed playing the game, and helping others (or killing them) whatever their faction or believes. i think if they closed the forums, this game wud be 100% better already.. less trolling and forum wars...

*edit* I forgot to mention Mara's... theirs friends in there aswell, and wouldnt refuse to trade/hunt with em either :D

ok heres the ramblings of a very old bunnie way back before the op's no one bothered much who was what a few used to gather in the areana so they could bash each other if they felt that way inclined but generaly most peeps helped each other... after the activation of the op's then the difrences between kami and kara became aparent but it was all fun and we all still trained together and helped each other..... since the merge hummm some peeps have gone power mad on all sides, kami kara and marauder
ive heard of kami's threatening kami's kara, kara's and marauder's threatening everyone lol (but that is what marauder's are suposed to do) ... how to fix the game back to what it was.. i dont think that is possible to many good players have left for various reasons and as we all know you will always get trolls though at present we do seem to have more than usual i know thats not much help but thats just the way it is at the moment

Well said Azad/Fas, i would just like to see the Ari way carried over here without all the hate/grudges.

Az, that happened pre-merge too. The so called Kami 'Alliance' is one of the reasons I didn't go Kami again post merge.

I have always been Kami aligned but never part of the Alliance. I refuse to allow anyone, outside the guild structure I've adopted, set down rules for who I can help or under what circumstances.

Open your own server then. It's not funny to see for every community how the game became after merge but you have to do with it. Play as you want and let the others play as they want. Simple. ( even if it's a "shame" like you said.)

Well clearly you dont know what Ari was like, No matter the faction every Homin got along and came together for many things. No ones going to make a new server and play there, we are all united on one and have to live with it, if people choose to make it bad then that is on them, I stand here for the preservation and wellness of all Homins and of Atys.

it is my first commandment to be respectfull for atys people, except the bookworm salazar, but then every npc in atys might frown on me and not let me play.... right? since they've all bowed down to his dreams
