Dear Hommins, you have one week time to do these missions. ;)

Everything was way to hectic to make pictures but i captured a few. In total 238+/- hommins i could count in the region with /who on the crash site (picture proof ) .


I could not capture stars falling but one, and could not see the "meteor"..

I went to the shooting stars show and then to the crash site. By the time I tried to "interact" with the strange fallen object, it was so laggy that nothing happened. Knowing that the mission was available for a week, I decided to log off and come back when it was quieter (hopefully tonight).

Am I reading between the lines on other posts correctly here? This is linked to the megacorp post and allows access? Then we have to acquire C60? How do we get the C60? Digging again? Yet another dig event with a leaderboard then?

What I don't understand is how this "device" fits in with Ryzom lore? Are we just supposed to accept that there's this strange network out there? What's the explanation for why we collect the C60? I ask because I'm not really seeing the point in going through what sounds like a relatively lengthy access process if that's all it is and it doesn't even sit well within what homins know about the history of Atys.

You can't "complete" the mainland. If one thinks one has seen or done everything there, one is kidding oneself. But be prepared to "get out what you put in," because the mainland does not coddle or hold hands.

Other games - they give you a cookie whether you succeed or not, in fact you don't even have to participate. Ryzom takes your cookie, eats it in front of you, and slaps you 2 or 3 times for bringing a cookie in the first place.

Yes we get access to megacorp. Your C60 will gradually increase as time goes on regardless if you are logged on or not, you don't need to do anything for it except get access through the event.

The best way to answer your question is to use your C60 to unlock the documents on megacorp. They will hopefully have the answers you seek :)

From the moment you finish the event and access the LV-20 network (megacorp.io website) with a character name, your character starts accruing this c60 substance at the rate of 1 c60/ 10 seconds (it's all web-based, nothing to do with your ingame character).

So far, you can use c60 to either decrypt some documents on the website (which supposedly explain what this is all about..) -- or you can donate c60 to help the communication decryption module (we can now see the public chats like Universe from outside the game, via the website; at ~37% we unlocked English Uni, then Fr Uni etc). There's a leaderboard for donations, but you might want to complete the event and start hoarding c60 so you can decrypt the documents for yourself.

As for how this all fits the lore ... so far it raises more questions than it answers. It will take ~6 days for people to have enough c60 to decrypt all 4 documents available.

No, you can either spend your C60 decoding the documents, or donate it to enable various chat functions.  Or a combination of both.

No I haven't actually. Haven't logged back in yet. I'd hoped this event and the mysterious website might prove an interesting diversion and generate some enthusiasm on my part but, from what I've heard about it so far, it doesn't.

I suppose, on the plus side, I'd never been that route from Fairhaven to Windermere before so I saw a bit of the lakelands I'd never seen before. :o)

Believe me it fits the lore incredibly well, there are just large parts of the lore, especially the back story that haven't been released officially.

let me just point out the obvious bits so far:
The artifact seems to be the same kind of tech that the Karavan use.
It's obviously alien from Ryzom.
The state of their tech indicate that the Karavan are somehow stranded here.
This module fell from the sky, so it probably broke off from an orbiting ship.


The introduction of megacorp in this way was a great idea, but they solved it in a weird way.
The kamist characters can't help but feel wary of the thing. However it is mostly about features that the players use.

The event involving the unidentified object that crashed into Liberty Lakes is coming to an end! What will happen to this strange thing that fell from the sky? You can witness it by visiting the site of the crash at Sonntag 30 März 2014 20:00:00 UTC (vor 1 Jahrzehnt) (Note the change of date from the one previously announced!).
Please be aware that this event is not a normal one; it will be a short scene to watch that will take about ten minutes. For those who want to attend the following Ranger event it will be possible to visit both events.
